Pioneering Breakthrough with PRONet Duo®

VKA Polymers is revolutionizing malaria control with PRONet Duo®, the first-ever dual-active Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) combining two powerful active ingredients-bifenthrin and chlorfenapyr. This innovation significantly enhances effectiveness against insecticide-resistant mosquito species.

Key Highlights:

  • First ITN formulated with bifenthrin, delivering superior efficacy.
  • Incorporates chlorfenapyr, unique in combating resistant mosquitoes.

The global decline in malaria deaths by nearly 50% between 2000 and 2022 highlights the critical role of ITNs in malaria prevention (World malaria report 2022, WHO.). However, the progress of malaria cases in recent years underscores the need for advanced tools like PRONet Duo® to sustain and accelerate the fight against malaria.
