STUDY CONCLUSION
Acute Oral Toxicity Study in Sprague Dawley rats (OECD Guideline No. 423) Classified as category 5 or unclassified per the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). LD50 cut-off value of Herballent® Cream is 5000 mg/kg body weight as per OECD Guidelines for testing of chemicals (No. 423. Section 4: Health Effects, Annexure 2c) on conduct of “Acute Oral Toxicity – Acute Toxic Class Method” when administered as a single dose by oral gavage to female Sprague Dawley Rats.
Acute Dermal Toxicity Study in Sprague Dawley rats. (OECD Guidelines No. 402) Classified as “Category 5 or Not Classified” according to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). The Acute Dermal Median lethal dose (LD50) of Herballent® Sprayin Sprague Dawley rats (males and females) was > 2000 mg/kg body weight
Acute Inhalation Toxicity Study in Sprague Dawley Rats. (OECD Guidelines No. 403) Classified as “Category 4” according to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). No clinical signs and mortality observed at mean maximum achievable concentration of 3.26 mg/L. Hence the LD50 of test item Herballent® Spray is >3.26 mg/L.
Acute Eye Irritation/Corrosion Study in New Zealand White Rabbits (OECD Guidelines No. 405) Herballent® Spray is considered as mild irritant and classified as “Category 2B” as per the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Herballent® Spray revealed ocular lesions up to 72 hours post installations to the eye of New Zealand White rabbits with single ocular instillation and found reverted at Day 7 observation.
